ORGAN:

ANCC is a Charity Christian Organisation registered with the Government of Uganda in 1989 under Section 16 (1) of the Company Act. The Head Office is at Lira Town.

BACKGROUND:

Uganda has seen years of social and political turmoil, civil wars, tribal strife and ethnic division compounded by a horrific mixture of violence and cruelty. The catastrophe of AIDS followed. The country's economic and social life is totally devastated.

There was therefore a need to mobilise Christian organisations and the general populus into a voluntary union for positive combat to the fallen economic, social and Christian standards of living.

Out of such concern All Nations Christian Care (ANCC) was formed and registered with the Government of Uganda in 1989. The founders were Revd Tom Okello and Pastor Milton Ogwal.

 IMPACT POTENTIAL CAPACITY:

ANCC have Christian personnel, manpower, government go-ahead, opportunity, national and international co-operation, dedication and commitment to seriously affect for good vast areas of this nation and others.

SUMMARY OF PROGRAMMES:

Mission:

This Department is a hand that works with churches in evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and leadership development, especially amongst all Christian denominations.

Vocational Training:

A Training Centre was built and is being run by ANCC called "Human Development Training Centre". Here a number of youth are trained in practical skills like tailoring, carpentry and joinery, motor vehicle mechanics, building and block laying and concrete practice. Currently a number of young people are greatly benefiting from the Centre.

Theological College:

Realising the great lack of trained pastors and leaders in the church, ANCC has started a Bible School at Lira where Christian workers are getting trained and equipped for Christian ministry. The College is affiliated to New Covenant International Theological Seminary and Bible College, which operates in many nations in the world.

Medical Services:

Medical Services are offered through the Clinics and Centres run by ANCC. Sometimes basic health training is organised for rural communities. ANCC too has joined others in the struggle to fight AIDS.

Relief:

Time and again ANCC has been involved in supporting needy children and orphans by providing school fees for their education, basic needs, counselling and career guidance.

MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE:

There is a Board of Administration and A Board of Directors who govern the Organisation. The Top Office has the Managing Director, followed by the General Secretary, followed by the Administrator, Heads of Departments and a number of supporting staff under the different Heads of Departments as need is from Department to Department.

FUNDING:

Although we get donations from friends overseas and sometimes local, we also have viable income generating projects like Conference Hall, Guest House, Farming, Transportation etc.

THE FUTURE:

There is potential to expand greatly in all directions.
